Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is the lightening or 'bleaching' of teeth.
There are three main options for tooth whitening:
1. Home bleaching - although it take longer it has the best evidence and uses a low concentration bleach and therefore the likelihood of sensitivity is minimised.
2. In-office bleaching - utilises a higher concentration bleach and effects may not be as long lasting and sensitivity may be higher.
3. Internal bleaching- lightens the shade of previously root canal treated teeth.
If you are concerned about the colour of your teeth, ask one of our dentists about whitening and the best options for a treatment plan customised for you.
